Please be aware that Lyyti is developed constantly and your view might not match 100% with the view described in this article.
Your event is cancelled. You need to somehow relay this information to
- your participants in the event
- anyone invited
- any future participants who might wander in to the registration page through an open registration link
Where do you start? By closing down registration. There are two ways of doing this. If your event is for a single participant, you can close down the registration page by hiding all the questions.
This is what the registration page will look like:
You can also close down the registration by setting the time for registration to a past date, then changing the standard message for the closed registration. Go to Actions from the menu on the left and choose Notifications.
The end result is exactly the same in both scenarios.
NB: Please remember to turn off EVS in the EVS settings so no questionnaire is sent to your participants.
Then you need to contact anyone who's already registered to the event. You can write a message in Communication, and as receivers you select the Quick filter Registered.
If you've sent out invites through Lyyti, your next email should be to those who haven't reacted to your previous messages, ie. Quick filter Not reacted. This way you will have reached anyone who either have registered, who are about to register, and who have been invited to register but haven't yet had the time to do so.
In case your event has chargeable products, please see these articles on refunding a participant and creating credit notes for invoices.
Note: Please disable EVS from your event so that the attending participants won't receive the EVS message.
