The answer to a Quantity question always replies to the question How many?, i.e. registrants are always required to give a numeric answer. Use this question types when selling more than one ticket/t-shirt/product at once. This allows one person to order multiple products. The Quantity question is very useful when one person registers several people, but only the orderer's details and/or the total number of participants are needed.

Please note that the given answer must be greater than 1, 0 is not regarded as an answer.

Capacities

Add maximum capacities as you would in multiple choice questions (read more here): set a max. capacity to each option in the Capacity column, or a Total capacity on the right.

In addition to maximum capacities, also how many of the given option Participants can choose and what is the value intervals.

1. Participants can choose: Minimum - Maximum: Limit how many pieces of a given option registrants may select. Participants may enter a value between 1 and the defined maximum value. In the example below, registrants may register a maximum of two adults and four teenagers, but the number of younger children is not limited.
   • Minimum: If registrants select this option, they have to select at least the minimum number set to the option.
   • Maximum:  Registrants may choose as many of the given option, as you have determined.
2. Value interval: If a maximum value has been defined, a value interval may also be determined. For example, limit the participants answers to be from 1 to 100 and by an interval of 5. This way you can sell products in batches of 5 products.

Useful tip

If you want to check how many people the participant is bringing to the event, but you don't need to ask the other participants any questions, you can use the Quantity question instead of using the group registration. In this case, the question text could be something like "group size, myself included" or "I'm bringing this many people in addition to myself", and the answer choice would be "people". In cases like this, the capacity of this answer choice is what defines the maximum capacity at your event. 

Restrictions

Please note that the Quantity question is not connected in any way to the Maximum capacity of the event that you set on the Settings page, and if you use a question like this, it is not possible to use all of the automated functions ("The event is full" or the waiting list per answer option).
