Sometimes you might need to hide a question or an answer option from the registrants. This is useful in particular scenarios, we have explained a couple of examples below. It is also helpful if you can't delete the question, i.e. the registration has been active for a while and people have already answered that particular question.
Hide question from the registration page
- Go to Registration page.
- Edit the question by clicking the pen icon.
- Unselect the option Who can see this question > By registration page language: English (and/or other languages you may have in use).
- Save.
If it is a multilingual event, you can hide the question from all registration pages or by languages.
Now the question is no more visible on the registration page. You as the organiser can still see the question in the question list, but the question text is in gray. Also, language abbreviations have disappeared.
N.B. If there are participant types in your event, you can tailor registration pages' questions to be shown to certain participant types. However, if you wish to hide the question from all participant types, do it by taking away the language option, and leave participant types as they are by default.
Hide answer option from the registration page
- Go to Registration page.
- Edit the question by clicking the pen icon.
- Move the mouse above the option you'd like to hide, click the eye icon (Hide) to hide the answer option from the registration page.
- Save.
Tip!
- Make use of this feature in events with different pricing policies (early bird, normal, VIP...). First, create all the answer options (the different prices) and hide all but the early bird option. When the early bird offer is over and pricing changes, simply hide the earlier price and reveal the next one.
- If you use the same registration page for a reoccurring event with several participation dates to choose from, hide the dates as they go by. This make registration easier for new participants.
Hide all questions from the registration page
The registration page doesn't only have to be used for registrations, you can also use it as a site for announcements or as a teaser site for an upcoming event. In that case you would also need to hide all questions from the registration page (below the text editor, select Hide questions from registration page ) to disable registration. When you choose this alternative registration will not be possible on the site and only the text you choose to write will be shown. This application is useful for e.g. save the date-announcements etc.
