In this help article, we are concentrating on the special features of the group registration. If you're not yet familiar with the basic principles of how to filter the recipients, please start by reading Filter recipients.
In the group registration, filtrations can be e.g.:
All contact persons, who haven't yet responded to the invitation
All participants who prefer cats to dogs
All contact persons, whose groups have participants with horses
This article includes the following sections:
- Filtering contact persons for non-responsive groups
- Filtering and messaging participants
- Messaging contact persons according to participant filtration
- When the focus is for the entire group
Filtering contact persons for non-responsive groups
As the group's contact person doesn't have a technical status (registered, declined...), you can't use the filtration that's based on the status of the contact person. You can however select the contact persons whose groups don't have registered or declined participants. If you want to send messages to non-responsive contact persons after your event, add attending and no show-participants as well to the filtration.
- Choose the filter target as Group, and Filter by question > Participant status > is not > Registered. Click Add filter.
- Add AND-filter
- Select again that the filtration is for the Group, but now Participant status > is not > Declined. Add the filtration.
- Select that the message is sent to the contact person.
- At the bottom right of the page, click on the Add filtered recipients-button.
Filtering and messaging participants
All participants who prefer cats to dogs
- Select that the filter target is the Participant, and select the preferred answer (Cats). Add the filter.
- Select that the message recipient is the participant:
- At the bottom right of the page, click on the Add filtered recipients-button.
Messaging contact persons according to participant filtration
All contact persons whose groups include participants with horses.
- Select that the filter target is the participant, and select the preferred answer (Horses). Add the filter.
- Select that the message is sent to the contact person.
- At the bottom right of the page, click on the Add filtered recipients-button.
When the focus is for the entire group
You can focus something for the whole group, but filter with the participants' questions. This kind of filtration is rarely needed, but here's an example of that:
The Lyyti staff is leaving for a camping trip in teams. Each team (=groups who've registered) needs to have a tent. On the registration page each participant needs to answer whether they have a tent of their own. The organizer of the trip wants to message all participants whose teams don't have a tent to go tent-shopping!
