A good list of recipients (e.g. list of invitees) has been collected from a list of your organisation's own customers or prospects. A good list contains addresses that are up-to-date and working. As an absolute minimum, you need to restrict your email lists to those recipients who have informed you within the last two years that they wish to keep receiving email correspondence from your company.
Why is it important to use working e-mails?
Why are bounce rates important? As e-mails are sent, the receiving party evaluates the global sender reputation of the email sender (you). In addition to spam reports, bounce rates are regarded as one of the most important factors when building a sender reputation. It is very likely that large bounce rates have a negative effect on your delivery rates. This is an issue for your own sender domain as well as Lyyti’s overall sender reputation.
It is prohibited to send e-mail from Lyyti to purchased e-mail lists
Maintaining up-to-date e-mail list is crucial to both Lyyti as a company and to an individual Lyyti user, since bounce rates affect all of us in the e-mail world. In a worst case scenario, your organisation's e-mail sender reputation can be tarnished and your e-mails won't be delivered anymore.
When sending e-mails from Lyyti, each send-out affects also Lyyti's general sender reputation and thus the sender reputation and delivery of all of our customers' e-mails. That is why purchased e-mail lists are prohibited as receiver lists. You can always use the open link of your Lyyti event and add it to any other invitation channel (social media, newsletter (if not sent from Lyyti), newspaper, intranet..).
