Please be aware that Lyyti is developed constantly and your view might not match 100% with the view described in this article.
When you create a new event in Lyyti, Lyyti automatically creates an open link for the event. The link is is formed based on the name the event had on its first save, and it is in the form of www.lyyti.in/event_name_1234.
The open registration link can be found in the menu under Registration link.
You have three different options to do with the automatically generated link:
- Download as QR-code: the QR-code will be downloaded to your computer and reading the QR-code takes the participant to the open registration page.
- Copy the link by clicking Copy to clipboard.
- Preview.
Please note that you cannot edit the automatic link Lyyti created, but you can create a alternative link (see below).
Create alternative registration link
You can also create your own alternative link if you want a simpler, neater or more specific registration link. The domain remains the same but you can decide the end part: www.lyyti.in/________ .
Type the link text of your choice and click Add.
- If the link is available, it will be saved and be ready to use.
- If the address is taken, you will be notified. In that case, please try adding another link.
Once the link has been created, hover over the grey link area with your mouse for more options:
- Download as QR-code: the QR-code will be downloaded to your computer and reading the QR-code takes the participant to the open registration page.
- Edit the link.
- Copy the link directly to your clipboard.
- Preview the link.
This newly created link will lead to the same registration page as the address Lyyti created automatically. Creating your own alternative link is useful from a marketing point of view: if invitations are sent by regular mail, if the link is published in a newspaper or you just want the link to be clear and easy to read and remember.
Please note that each link can only be used in one event and it cannot be transferred from one event to another.
