Answering the survey anonymously vs. a personal link

When trying to answer to a survey you may get the following notification: The survey can't be answered anonymously. 

Answering anonymously is determined on the survey's Settings page > Can be answered anonymously.

If respondents are not allowed to answer anonymously, they are expected to answer through their personal answer link. The link is sent by e-mail or sms from a Lyyti event connected with the survey (how to send personal answer link by e-mail). 

When using the personal answer link, answers and the respondent's personal information (if available in the connected Lyyti event) are saved and can be accessed via survey reporting. 

If you publish an open answer link to a survey, answers will always be anonymous, as the respondents are not connected with any event/participant in Lyyti. If you have created separate questions for contact details, Lyyti's anonymity setting does not affect the mandatory setting of self-created questions.
