In an event with group participation, the participants are shown as members of the same group, together under the same contact person. Lyyti will list both the contact person and the participants, but you can also hide the separate participants from the minus sign in front of the contact person's name.
The status of the contact person and the participant
The Participants page will show the contact person as bolded, and they don't have a status. Only a participant can be registered, declined, attending or no-show. If the contact person has been selected as a participant for the event when registering, they will have their own participant information section on the participants page.
In the picture, the contact person is Jenni H-L (bolded). When registering, they have been added as a participant to the event, which has therefore created her as a participant to the event. In addition, she's participating with J-P, while S-E has declined the event after registration.
Importing groups and participants
When importing participants into a event with group registering, it is only possible to import the contact persons. The contact persons are invited, and they select how many participants (or tickets) they are registering to the event.
Create/add a group (or a contact person) with Add group, or import several at a time with Import -> Add participants from Excel
If needed, you can add participants to the contact person by editing their information and selecting to add a participant to this group.
Note: The whole idea of a group participation event is that the participants don't need to be imported beforehand into the event. Only import the contact persons and send them a personal invitation link through the Messaging section.
Filtering a group and a participant
In an event with group participation, you can select the participants page filtering to be either for a group or for specific participants. In other ways the filtering works just as usual (instructions here).
Editing a group and it's participants' information
When you've selected a set of groups or participants, you will automatically see a small pop-up screen in the upper right corner of the participants page with extra selections Message/Edit/Delete. These options are for all the participants/groups you've selected and will be implemented to all selected participants/groups. Here are instructions for editing the participants' information. Please note that it is not possible to set a status for a contact person.
