This article describes the Lyyti & Microsoft Dynamics CRM integration and how to implement the integration.
Microsoft Dynamics and Lyyti - why both?
Microsoft Dynamics and Lyyti together make sure that when it comes to events, the vital lead and contact data flows easily from one system to the other. Lyyti’s strengths are in complete event management and communication, while MS Dynamics takes care of the customer relationship management as a whole.

Integration functionalities
- Marketing lists with Leads and Contacts can be linked to a campaign and imported as Lyyti participants directly in the CRM
- Participant information moves automatically from Lyyti to MS Dynamics CRM
- For existing leads and contacts, the participation to an event is added as a campaign response, including Lyyti participant status
- The integration creates new leads if a participant is not found from the CRM (according to their email address)
- Utilizing participant information in sales, marketing and reporting purposes, participant history stored also in the CRM
Implementation of the integration
You can use either
a) a ready made integration by our partner Fenix Solutions or
b) custom integration by yourself or with your partner.
a) Ready made integration
- Covers default set of event and participant fields
- In Dynamics, you need to use Campaigns
- If you wish to use new lead from Lyyti participants, Leads need to be used in Dynamics
- Only events where one registers by themselves is supported (without participant types)
- Participants can be imported from Dynamics to Lyyti
The integration is implemented with our partner Fenix Solutions.
- Fenix Solutions will provide the installation package with instructions and Lyyti will provide the API keys
- One installation day, installed by the client or by Fenix Solutions by adding the file package to the folder
- Import of the managed solution
- File package can be installed directly to the server, which might slow down for a couple of minutes.
- Sessions on the CRM may be ended, therefore a short maintenance break is recommended
b) Custom integration using Lyyti API

Relevant event and participant information is fetched from Lyyti API
- All fields as Lyyti API resources can be used
- Customer or its partner responsible for integration development
- Lyyti provides API keys and documentation
How does the integration work (ready made solution)
In Lyyti
- Create an event to Lyyti
- You can send personalised invitations and other e-mails
- Use Lyyti to manage registrations and create online-reports
- Collect feedback with surveys or EVS-survey
In Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- A campaign is automatically created from the Lyyti event
- Create a marketing list of invitees
- Dynamics can be used for linking the marketing list to the campaign and sending the members to Lyyti through a campaign activity
- You can monitor registrations (campaign responses)
- Use campaign reporting
Requirements for the integration
- Campaigns and Contacts need to be in use
- Leads need to be in use if new records are created according to registrations
- Integration supports only Lyyti events with individual registrations. Events with participant types, and/or events where you register with companion or with a group are not supported.
- Supported Microsoft Dynamics CRM versions: 2013, 2015, 2016 ja D365 (On Premise & Online)
- Installation of one managed solution file to one folder, can be done by the customer or Fenix Solutions
- Information security between Lyyti and CRM
- HTTPS protocol in data transfer
- Authentication with Lyyti API keys, provided by Lyyti
