Please be aware that Lyyti is developed constantly and your view might not match 100% with the view described in this article.
In email inboxes, under the title of a received email, there's usually a preview of the first element in the email, whether it's text, image or something else. If the first element of an email sent from Lyyti is a banner picture, the inbox will display the url of the image, which can look strange. However, there's a solution called pre-header to change the text shown in the email preview.
To add a pre-header in your message, open the message in the Messaging page of your Lyyti event and do the following:
- Add an HTML content block as the uppermost content of the email
- Click the new content block
- Add the following HTML code to the HTML editor in the right hand side menu (the menu opens when you click the HTML content block you added in the previous step):
<div style=“display:none;font-size:1px;color:#333333;line-height:1px;max-height:0px;max-width:0px;opacity:0;overflow:hidden;“>
Here be the introduction text
</div> - Replace the part "Here be the introduction text" with the text you want to be shown as the pre header.
Here's how it looks in the messaging tool in Lyyti:
And here's how it looks in the mail inbox on a Mac computer:
Please note that different email services and clients treat HTML content each in their own way, so we cannot guarantee that the trick to add a pre-header presented in this article will always work on all the possible email services.
