If your company wishes to be the email sender in practice and not just by name, it's possible to use an SMTP relay for this purpose. This way all emails sent from Lyyti will be relayed first to your company's email server, which will then send out the messages to all intended recipients.
It also means that your company is responsible for the emails being delivered.
When should we implement the SMTP relay?
If your company isn't for some reason able to verify your company domain in Lyyti, an SMTP relay will be the best solution. Any messages sent from Lyyti will be directed to your company email server, that will then send out the messages to the intended recipients.
How will using an SMTP relay influence the way our company uses Lyyti?
When you choose to use an SMTP relay, the statistics log for sent messages will no longer show message status logs, but all messages will have the status 'sent'. This is because Lyyti's email server is no longer the primary sender of the emails, which means that the tracking links aren't added to the emails and Lyyti doesn't receive info on the emails being sent, received, clicked etc.
It also means that your company is responsible for the emails being delivered.
How can we start using an SMTP relay?
In order for you to be able to use the SMTP relay, your company's email traffic needs to be controlled by you, so you need your own IT-support that can make changes to your email server, and make sure that all emails relayed to your email server are sent out. If this is in order, you can make the following necessary changes to your email server.
Technical requirements for your company's relay server:
- Relay access is allowed for Lyyti's sending IP address 185.26.50.128. The SMTP relay feature does not support username+password based authentication.
- The relay server must allow messages to be sent with any 'from' address at your domain name.
- The relay server has to accept recipient address at any functioning domain, i.e. relaying to third-party recipient domains needs to be allowed.

Google G Suite -instructions here.
When you have set up the SMTP relay on your server according to the instructions above, please contact help(a)lyyti.com and provide us 1) the address of the SMTP relay server, and 2) the domain name in question. With this information, we are able to test the SMTP relay and (given that it works correctly) make the necessary configuration changes on Lyyti’s end. When this is done, you are good to go using SMTP relay!
