Open links
If your participants register through an open registration link (1), they must choose one of the public participant types before proceeding to the registration page. On the Settings page you can determine if a participant type is public or not public by clicking the option public/not public.
You can also create separate, direct links (2) to each participant type's registration page. These links come in handy when promoting the event in different marketing channels. If you create your own registration link, write the desired link text in the field and click Add. Save (3). If the address you've chosen is already taken, Lyyti will let you know. Otherwise, the address is saved and ready for use.
Tip: Create participant types for your own special groups, like partners, associates or family of staff. You can send invitations or open the event registration at different times for each participant type (note that the opening cannot be automated). Mark all the participant types as not public and send each group their corresponding registration link.
B) Personal links
Before sending personalised invitations from Lyyti, you can define a participant type for every participant. This can be done by adding participants one by one or by importing a longer participant list from Excel.
Add one by one (Participants > Add one):
Add many (Excel)
When adding many participants, import one participant type at a time. On the import page, select a participant type for the batch of addresses you are processing.
When a participant clicks on their personal registration link, Lyyti will recognize their participant type and direct them to the registration page designated to that particular participant type.
